Double Digits....

Dylan turned 10!!! I can't believe that my baby turned double digits. He has grown into a marvelous young boy with the sense of humor of his mother. I am very proud of him and all of his accomplishments. So to celebrate him, we had a PARTY!!!!!! All of his friends were there and he was very happy. This party place was a hit with all the kids and the adults. I think that the next morning there were a couple of adults that had pain in their arms from throwing so many balls! Thank you all for coming and being part of this milestone in my son's life. Here are a couple of pictures .....

Busy Week....

Last week was an exhausting week. It started with field day and ended with an egg hunt. Dylan had his field day at Continental Park. In fourth grade they get to walk over to the park and have a whole day filled with activities, races, water balloons and sprinklers. Dylan participated in the Hot Shots and the Baton race. I thought that I was going to have a hard time because I had Isabella with me but I was mistaken! She behaved so good and all of Dylan's classmates wanted to take care of her! We had a great time and Mrs. Jackson's class ended in third place. Later that evening we had the Marlins' Post-Season party at the Tavern. The boys got their trophies and it gave them a chance to hang out again. Chris really enjoys coaching the boys. The next day Brianna had her Easter egg hunt at school. That is always fun because she gets one egg opens it and if she likes what's inside she puts it in her basket if not back to the ground...lolololol..Sunday we had a great Easter Party at the Maytin residence. Maribel, like always, goes all out for the kids. There was food, drinks, sack race, egg hunt, egg painting and the infamous Easter bunny. The bunny was a little strange but enjoyed by all the kids. FINALLY.....

After so much time, I decided to cut my hair!!!! It had been long coming but I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. Then I came across Locks of Love. They are a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces for children of under privileged families that have suffered hair loss due to any illness. After reading what they can do with a donation, I was inspired to cut 11 inches. I am not going to lie and say that it was easy for me because those who know me know how I am with my hair but it felt great being able to help. So I booked my appt with Teresa 2 weeks ago and she told me "this should give you enough time to decide"..lolololol...she knows me to well. Sweet Home Alabama

So we got adventurous and decided to take a road trip to visit my sis, her husband (Dylan's godfather) and my niece Jorlyn in Alabama. Needless to say it is an 11 hour road trip. We packed a rented van and took my Dad along. On the way there, I have to admit that the trip was a smooth one but on our way back, it took us 15 hours!!!! The kids were BONKERS!!!! I didn't believe that we would make it home. It was bumper to bumper traffic from Tallahassee to Ocala then there were tornadoes in Orlando and many accidents. Overall, it was a very relaxing time. The kids were able to hang out with Jorlyn and her dog Ruby. At the end of stay Ruby was scared of Isabella. Bella was poking her in the eyes and when Ruby would see her coming she would run and hide....lolololol. We also visited the USS Alabama Battleship and Dylan met a WWII veteran. Dylan was in awe as he saw the battleship and all of the airplanes in the Museum. It was a very peaceful Thanksgiving. Here are some pictures of us throughout our visit.
